Blake Lively – Black Canary

Dinah Drake became a hero after her mother, the original Black Canary, died. Inspired by her mother, Dinah trained with Wildcat to become the hero, Black Canary. She has some solo adventures, one that included being trained by Richard Dragon, the sensei that also trained Lady Shiva. Black Canary was the first recruit by Oracle for Birds of Prey. Although she and Oracle started off rocky, they would eventually see eye-to-eye.

Blake Lively is a growing star in Hollywood, who is long removed from her tv role in Gossip Girl. The  30-year old actress has proven she’s a leading lady with roles in Age of Adaline to The Shallows. Lively isn’t a stranger to superhero films or working with Warner Bros. In fact, she starred in infamous box office flop, Green Lantern as Carol Feris.

Over the last seven years since Green Lantern, Lively has risen above it. And she deserves another shot a better hero in a better movie — Black Canary in Birds of Prey makes sense. Plus it doesn’t hurt that she looks like she’s ripped straight from the comics. She’ll be kicking ass in the upcoming revenge thriller The Rhythm Section.
