1. Killer Frost as a true villain
Over the last few seasons, we saw Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) have an inner battle with her other superpowered persona Killer Frost. Caitlin fights the good fight while Killer Frost does the dirty work.
In season three Killer Frost surfaces as the evil alter ego of Caitlin. Unable to control her killer imposes, she worked with Savitar to take down team Flash. It appeared that Caitlin Snow was no more, however, technology prevailed and Killer Frost was subdued.
As of now, Killer Frost is more of an anti-hero than a villain as she and developed an understanding. Unfortunately thanks to The Thinker, Killer Frost is no more. Season five is said to focus more on the origins of Killer Frost who is not a product of the particle accelerator exploding. In fact, season five will feature an extended look at Caitlin’s family tree. With Caitlin discovering the true origins of her powers it’ll be great to see a new Killer Frost on the show.
Crystal Frost is an option, she’s dark and murderous truly lacking any sense of heroism. Unlike Caitlin, she doesn’t need to show mercy to her villains. In the comics, she loved Professor Martin Stein who didn’t reciprocate those same feelings. Feeling rejected, Crystal locked herself in a thermo-frost chamber. Instead of freezing to death, she, of course, arose with the ability to absorb heat. The storyline would play well on the Flash even with Martin dead. Like every other meta, she could have survived her ordeal thanks to the particle accelerator.
Another possibility could be Dr. Louise Lincoln. In the comics, she became Killer Frost after repeating the experiment that turned her friend Crystal. Likewise, they shared a thirst for blood. However, with Lincoln, she became more powerful after selling her soul to Neron. On the Flash, her story could be directly linked to Caitlin Snow’s as a person who helped turn her into Killer Frost. She could repeat the experiment after seeing Caitlin in action and become the murderous villain we wished Caitlin could be.
Grant Gustin is an absolute star who could carry the Flash far into the future. Season five should serve as a fresh start for the Flash. What are some things you want to see in the upcoming season of The Flash?
