8. Joseph Sikora

If you don’t know who Joseph Sikora is then you’re probably not one the millions who tune in to Starz’s Power. Sikora plays a character that has every quality fans of DC would want in Black Mask. His character Tommy Egan is a big-time drug dealer at one point he controlled the biggest shipment in New York.

Fans of the show will easily recognize the comparisons that exist in both Tommy and Black Mask. Tommy is loud, obnoxious, and a stone cold killer. An added bonus is Sikora’s character is of Italian descent. If Cathy Yan wants a relative unknown, Sikora is the guy.

7. Michael K. Williams

When Aquaman was first announced fans were expecting Michael K. Williams to portray Black Manta. The role ultimately went to Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Nevertheless, the clamoring for Williams was a testament to his supreme acting ability. From his roles in The Wire and Boardwalk Empire, Williams has developed a following.

The super talented actor has played in movies like 12 Years a Slave, Ghostbusters, the Land and many more. Playing a kingpin isn’t unfamiliar territory for Williams. In fact, most recently he played the top dog in The Night Of. If they want a smooth criminal, a Black Mask with some depth and swag there’s no better actor than Michael K. Williams.
