A script for a Supergirl movie is the works and we couldn’t help ourselves but think of 10 actresses we think would make a great Supergirl

A Supergirl movie being in the works is a delightful surprise for DC fans. Supergirl aka Kara Zor-El is the Kryptonian, older cousin of Kal El who’s ship crash-landed in Russia. The Easter egg in Zack Snyder’s Man Of Steel had fans wondering when Supergirl would show up in the DCEU. The time is coming and Oren Uziel is working on the script. There’s no shortage of fans impatiently waiting for more news to hit the web. As of now all we can hang our hats on is the development of the script.

Supergirl is a hero who can become as influential as Wonder Woman. Having superpowers is one thing but to stand out in a world full of male super heroes is another. The CW has done a fantastic job at making Supergirl a socially conscious show and the inner strength the character displays is inspirational from afar. The same qualities that exist within the confines for the show’s version of Supergirl should exist within the DCEU. While there are plenty of talented actresses who’d make for a great Supergirl we put together our top 10.

10. Sophie Turner

Like many Game of Thrones stars, Sophie Turner has branched off into movies. Turner stars in X-Men Apocalypse as the telepath, Jean Grey. Jean is a nice girl, isn’t rebellious but we’ll see a darker version of Jean in Dark Phoenix. Her most recent movie, Josie allowed Turner to step out from her Game of Thrones character.

As the leading character, Josie she’s a hard-edged, flirtatious young woman who finds herself in dangerous situations. Although the movie wasn’t critically acclaimed, Turner proved she’s a capable leading lady. Asking her to take on the role as Kara Zor-El wouldn’t be too much for her.  Of course her availability all depends on what happens next with Disney and the X-Men. If they reboot the franchise and she’s free, the DCEU would be wise to sign her up as Supergirl.

9. Stefanie Scott

The former ANT Farm star has shed the Disney stigma some time ago. In 2015 Scott plays a possessed teen, Quinn in Insidious Chapter 3. The role was dark as she ventured from unassuming girl to full on possessed in a very convincing performance.

Despite the presence of the talented Lin Shaye, Scott shined in this dark, twisted tale. Scott also appeared in Jen and the Holograms, Frenemies, and 1 Mile to You. She also had an upcoming coming of age film titled Good Girls Get High, as Daniella. At the age of 21, Scott could play a true depiction of a teenage Kara.
