Power Rangers movie from Hasbro: 6 things we want to see

1. Lead up to Lord Zedd as the big bad

By the ending of the Power Rangers sequel, we should know all about the Zeo Crystals and why anyone would want them. The film should loosely set up for a Lord Zedd appearance. His obsession with the Zeo Crystals would make him an ideal villain for a third film. In the MMPR series, Rita explains that Lord Zedd’s grotesque appearance is a result of his trying to obtain the Crystals. Given the sheer darkness of Lord Zedd’s character as less melodramatic, more cynical, and not quirky he’d make for an excellent villain later on. If written the right way he’d be the Darth Vader of the Power Rangers franchise.

There’s a lot that can and should happen in the Power Rangers sequel. Hasbro should make it their priority to bring back the talented cast. Moreover, focusing on Tommy, the Green Ranger and exploring the Zeo Crystals would do wonders. Setting up for Lord Zedd is a bonus that the sequel can afford and his appearance opens up Pandora’s box.  Between the exploration of the Crystals and Lord Zedd’s appearance, we can get Master Vile, the ruler of galaxy M51. Or maybe even a Power Rangers movie remake where Ivan Ooze is the big bad.
