Mad Men is where Jon Hamm made his name. But he’s more than a tv star, he’s an immensely funny talented actor with range, see Majorie Prime, Keeping Up with the Joneses and Baby Driver as references. doesn’t have the same blockbuster resume as some of our other actors on the list. But, his name is on the tip of every comic book movie fans’ tongue. Hamm was on everyone’s shortlist to play Cable and Batman respectively. At one point, he was considered for the role of Superman but he turned it down.

In fact, Hamm took a stance against the idea of playing a comic book hero. He explained himself during an interview with Time Magazine.

"“For me to sign on now to do a superhero movie would mean I would be working until I am fifty as that particular superhero. It’s a lot of work at one thing which is not necessarily the reason I got into the business.”"

We understand why seeing his name on the list may have you sequencing in confusion considering his stance on playing a superhero in films. However, that was in 2014 and time changes everything. Plus, there’s a rumor floating around that Hal Jordan is supposed to die in the film. The death of Hal would give Hamm the freedom to play the hero without the shackles of commitment. Whether or not Hal Jordan dies shouldn’t matter since John Stewart is the Green Lantern many fans want to see.  So, no matter his fate, Hamm would only play Hal Jordan in a one-off role.
