1. John Cena

I know some of you can’t see him as Hal Jordan. His history as a wrestler might cause some of people to scratch their heads. However, John Cena is more than a former WWE superstar turned Hollywood brute. Look into his resume and it becomes clear why he’ll make a fantastic Hal Jordan. For starters, he’s comedic gold as evident by his appearance in the 2015 comedy Sisters. In the Tina Fey comedy, Cena plays Dave’s (Johnny Leguizamo) plug, Pazuzu The scene was short, effective, memorable, and allowed Cena to shine outside his good guy element.

The same goes for his short stint in Trainwreck as Steven the masculine personal trainer who wasn’t as he seemed. Cena also played a small role in Daddy’s Home 2 as the cliché bad boy and he still shine. If you aren’t a believer in the power of Cena see Blockers and watch how he once again owns every scene he’s in. You forget that he’s 6’4 250-pounds, instead, you see him as a comedic emotional father attempting to stop his daughter from losing her virginity.

John Cena not only looks like he’s ripped straight from the comics but he has appeal and action star potential. He’ll play Agent Burns in Bumblebee and star alongside Jackie Chan as an ex special forces agent in Project X. And he’ll star as an ex Nave SEAl in Dwayne Johnson’s film, The Janson Directive . With his name, looks, and resume Cena is the ideal choice for Hal Jordan in Green Lantern Corps.
