6. He told the Flash to marry Iris, even though she was already married to Barry

As I mentioned before, Ira couldn’t always be bothered to remember key facts. He built a supercomputer and had it calculate who the perfect mate for his daughter Iris would be. He forgot that Iris and Barry were already married, despite having gone to their wedding mere months earlier. The computer picked Flash as the perfect husband for Iris.

At this point in continuity, Ira was unaware that Barry Allen was the Flash’s secret identity. When Ira suggested the union to Flash, he reminded him that his daughter was already spoken for. At least Barry was a good sport about the whole thing, but at this point he was already well acquainted with Ira’s forgetfulness.

The computer probably could’ve been used for more practical purposes, like solving world hunger or economic problems. For whatever reason, Ira chose to use it to set up married daughter.
This goes without saying, but CW’s Joe West never forgot that his daughter was already married.
