3. Tyler Hoechlin

Admittedly, Tyler Hoechlin isn’t the most creative choice but if something is obvious then it’s obvious. If you’re a fan of the CW series, Supergirl then Tyler Hoechlin looks very familiar. The 31- year old actor currently plays Clark Kent aka Superman for in the Arrowverse. Unlike the DCEU version, Hoechlin’s depiction of Superman resembles the classic Christopher Reeve version.

In fact, some argue that his portrayal of Superman tops that if Henry Cavill’s. Hoechlin has done more than just play Superman on television. He’s slowly made a name for himself on the big screen with roles in Fifty Shades Freed, The Domestics, Bigger, and will star in the romantic comedy, Departures.

Hoechlin, like Cavill before him still doesn’t have that marquee name as an actor. Warner Bros could use Hoechlin to catapult Superman into the new DCEU. The story that existed in Man of Steel that set up the  DCEU can stay intact. Hoechlin’s TV Superman isn’t brooding like the DCEU’s original depiction but he has the ability to balance both. There was nothing wrong with MoS but there was a lot wrong with the forced Joss Whedon version in Justice League. It’s time to find a balance, and Hoechlin can bring it.
