1. Armie Hammer
Is there any actor more often associated with DC characters than Armie Hammer? Mad Max Fury Road Director, George Miller wanted Hammer to play Batman in his infamous Justice League movie. Hammer’s name also circled the Shazam movie thanks to Dwayne Johnson endorsing Hammer for the role. Of course, the role went to Zachary Levy but that didn’t stop fans from pitching Hammer to Warner Bros. Fans have also banged the table for him to play Hal Jordan in the upcoming Green Lantern Corps film. As Matt Reeves searches for his young Batman, Hammer’s name came up yet again.
Maybe it’s time for Warner Bros to give Hammer a role in the DCEU, this time as Superman. He’d make for a seamless transition especially as it pertains to Amy Adams. The two starred in Nocturnal Animals and their chemistry was palpable. There’s arguably no actor more perfectly suited to take over for Henry Cavill than Army Hammer. Who knows, he might do a better job.
The reports of Henry Cavill stepping down as Superman rocked DCEU nation. Nevertheless, if the rumors are more than a ploy to get Cavill paid — the machine that is Warner Bros. will continue. Which means, Walter Hamada and WB have their hands full. However, with WB’s casting history there’s no doubt they’ll cast the right actor to play Superman. We just helped them narrow the list. Now please give us Man of Steel 2.
