3. Shuri

Letitia Wright’s Shuri was an absolute gem in the critically acclaimed Black Panther. Wright was absolutely captivating and stole every scene she was in. Even with all the Marvel characters on one screen in Infinity War, Shuri once again found a way to shine. Now, imagine what a  Letitia Wright led series could be if she suited up as Black Panther. Shuri’s adventures directly tie in to T’Challa’s one way or another.

Where a show would work is depicting a version of her adventurous quest to replace T’Challa as Black Panther. During this period, her brother was in a coma and had to prove herself worthy of taking the mantle of Black Panther. A series focusing on her trials and tribulations could work. Additionally, it will give Wright an opportunity to dig deep into the psyche of her character. Some changes need to be made, but ultimately, Shuri’s humbling experience, as she claws her way through trials, is something we want to see.

2. Valkyrie

Tessa Thompson is a fantastic actress, and as Valkyrie, she stole the show in a movie that featured some iconic Marvel characters, Thor: Ragnarok. Despite being surrounded by Loki, Thor and Hulk, it was Valkyrie who stole the show. In the comics, she’s known as Brunnhilde, the leader of the Valkyrior. In the MCU, she’s a drunken bounty hunter working for Grandmaster.

Valkyrie is a captivating, brash and drunken bounty hunter, who held her own against Thor. A Valkyrie series could explore what Ragnarok couldn’t – the extinction of the Valkyrior. As the series progresses, we could see the Asgardian goddess traveling the galaxy, kicking butt and collecting bounties. Regardless of the story direction, we’d love to see Thompson reprise her role in a Valkyrie series.
