4. Walker stays in Wisconsin

In episode 6, ‘The Dragon Dies at Dawn,’ in season 2 of Iron Fist, when Danny and Walker were preparing to take out Davos (Sacha Dhawan), she let slip that the ‘Mary’ she met was just the “sad” and “contrary” aspect of her personality. Not only this, but she would like to visit Wisconsin after she has completed the job with Danny. Unfortunately, that did not happen as Danny got severely injured during the ambush against Davos and the flickering lights from the ambulance vans and the rain shower subdued Walker and she reverted back to her Mary persona. After hearing Danny about her alters’ plans to go to Wisconsin, she left Danny behind and let Davos escape.

The next day, Joy visited Mary and convinced her that Walker did not want to run away from her, but rather protect Mary. Whether this is actually true, may be left to the imagination, nevertheless, Mary stopped taking her pills, recorded a video message for her alternate and let Walker be in control. Sometime after, Walker returned and is led on a path to find what she meant about “protecting” her during her time being stationed in the Czech Republic. After she attempted to kill Davos once and for all, the focus has been directed towards investigating more into her background.

As Mary has given up control to Walker, it is likely she may be able to lead a more peaceful life in Wisconsin, but who knows what her own military background could lead to. With the reveal that there is an unnamed, more violent alternate, who rescued Mary from her torture, this complicates matters. Walker is likely to find out who this alter could possibly be and whether the armed forces knew? And if so, what could they possibly want?

Whatever it could be, Wisconsin may have to wait for the time being. The location could also mean something to her; needless to say we are not certain as to what that may be though Wisconsin would have to be revisited for another time, as there are more important objectives that lie across the horizon. There is also the case Wisconsin might be something, Mary, on the other hand, wishes to run away from. Notice the shock on Mary’s face once Danny mentioned Wisconsin, it was as if she was recollecting something she remembered, which she may have suppressed. It could be the birthplace of her and Walker. How her cruel ‘alter’ emerged.
