Shadowland

We’ve already seen that Matt Murdock is taking a more ruthless approach to protecting the city. In the preview for season 3 of Daredevil, Matt said, “Darkness only responds to Darkness.” Matt is already a brutal fighter with anger issues who sometimes has to be reminded to hold back.

What happens when Matt doesn’t let the consume him and decides to truly become the Devil. In the comic books, this is how Shadowland starts. Bullseye kills hundreds of people and Matt decides that it would be the last time this happens. He tries to make The Hand an instrument of good and ends up being possessed by the Beast.

In this series you get Misty Knight and Colleen Wing trying to help stop Matt from diving deeper into darkness. Colleen Wing might be the most popular character in the Iron Fist series. She also may be the one people want to see succeed more than anyone. Bringing her into a series like this could show how she’s learned to control the power of the Iron Fist. She could use her chi to heal Matt from the possession. It could also be called Defenders: Shadowland since Charlie Cox (Daredevil) wants another season of Defenders:

"“I would like to see it go again if that’s something they wanted to do. I’d be well up for that. I think that’d be really fun. I would like to see a story that is more in keeping with the show’s that we make, which is a little bit more grounded, a little more boots on the ground. I don’t want to see us try and compete with the Avengers in terms of the scope. I’d like to see The Defenders in more of a crime drama that happens in Hell’s Kitchen underground. That’d be fun.”"

This could also kick-start another show everyone has been waiting for.
