Karen Page

I may have found Karen annoying throughout the show, but she held a very important role. She was the bridge between Matt and Foggy. If not for her, Matt’s apartment would have been sold and there wouldn’t have been a link to the media that Matt and Foggy needed to take down Wilson Fisk.

Grade: B

Her solo episode, “Karen,” showed where a lot of her insecurities came from, what happened to her brother, and why she ended up in New York.  This also uncovered why she is always trying to help other people. She feels guilty for all the mistakes she made and the hurt she brought onto her family. It was hilarious when she admitted to Fisk that she killed Wesley. I thought for certain Fisk was going to kill her and get away with it.

Vanessa Marianna

Vanessa was only in the series for a short time, but her presence was felt. She didn’t just take Wilson and agree to everything he did. She made it a point to speak her mind because she loved and admired him.

Vanessa showed what true love is. It’s knowing the person you’re with, accepting them, and doing what you can to make them better. She believed in him even when he didn’t believe in himself. Without her in his life, I don’t know if Wilson can do all the things he’s done. He definitely doesn’t have the patience or the ability to keep his cool without her. Had she been in the season more she would have easily gotten an A+.

Grade: Incomplete

Short and to the point; she wasn’t in the show enough. No matter how important she was to the progression to the season finale, I couldn’t grade her higher.
