7. Sofia Black-D’Elia

Not many people will recognize the name Sofia Black-D’Elia. But, her fans know her from her role as Effy in the MTV’s American version of Skins. She also stared in Project Almanac and the Fox comedy, The Mick. No matter what she’s played in, D’Elia has shined.

Whether it’s dark comedy like The Mick or just dark, like The Night Of, D’Elia showed she can handle it. Considering Zatanna is a dark character, it’s a perfect role for her.

Additionally. D’Elia is of Italian decent, so it helps with that side of Zatanna. If Warner Bros. wants someone who isn’t a household name, Sofia Black-D’Elia is the person they want.

6. Gemma Arterton

There’s arguably no actress more talented than Gemma Arterton. When it comes to range, Arterton has it. It doesn’t matter when or how, but she needs to be in a comic book movie. There’s a chance we could see her as Catwoman. Okay, so that’s more of wishful thinking.

If the DCEU opts to explore a side of Zatanna that’s older and dark, Gemma Arterton is someone who makes sense. Arterton is immensely talented, with roles ranging from all across the board.

Whether it’s a hero in Hansel and Gretel: Witchhunters or as a tortured victim in the neo-noir thriller, The Disappearance of Alice Creed, there’s nothing Gemma Arterton can’t do.
