It’s hard to tell where the DCEU will go with the next Lois Lane. Maybe they want someone who’s been around but hasn’t exactly reached their potential yet, that’s Vanessa Hudgens.
Hudgens has star potential and over the years has shown she’s far removed from High School Musical. The 29-year old actress had her hand in everything; Beastly, Sucker Punch, Spring Breakers, Machete Kills and many more.
Her most transformative role was Gimmie Shelter where she played a homeless pregnant teen who gets a helping hand from strangers. Hudgens had her hand in the comic book world already; the DC series, Powerless.
As Emily, she’s the Director of Research & Development for a Wayne Enterprises security company. They specialize in products that protect citizens from damage caused by superheroes and super-villains. Hudgens’ range and look makes her an excellent choice for Lois Lane —, especially alongside Henry Cavil. Even if there are bigger names on the list.
3. Blake Lively
It didn’t take long for the former Gossip Girl actress to put her stamp on Hollywood. Savages saw her break free from the teenage role. While The Age of Adeline allowed her display range. The Shallows proved she can handle anything, including a shark. The mystery, A Simple Favor was nothing short of fanatic adding another critically acclaimed film to her resume.
In the revenge thriller, The Rhythm Section she’ll show off her butt-kicking skills. Lively played a comic book movie role in Green Lantern. While the movie bombed, her character, Carol Faris displayed some Lois Lane like qualities. Warner Bros should do what they can to bring her back.
