Marvel Comics characters to watch out for in 2019

Carol Danvers has been a hidden gem in Marvel Comics for a long time. For a while she didn’t have the right story-lines to show how great she was. She eventually got a costume change (the one piece bikini was a bit outdated), cut her hair, and started being the powerhouse fans knew she was for years.
We saw what she could really do when she she beat Iron Man with ease during Civil War 2 and that Hydra Cap knew to keep her out of Earth because she was too dangerous (Secret Empire). There was also a reboot to her origin which revealed a very cool twist to who she really is.

Carol Danvers is going to have one heck of a year. First off, she has her own movie coming out in March (Captain Marvel). This means her momentum in comics will start before her movie and continue well after Avengers: Endgame. Carol Danvers has become Marvel Comics Wonder Woman. Both have military backgrounds of sorts, both are strong physically and mentally, both lead by example, and are willing to sacrifice whatever to save the world and beyond. Look for her to have a life changing moment in comics. Well, other than her origin.
