Marvel’s upcoming limited series, The Vision and Scarlet Witch has found a writer and showrunner.

The Vision and Scarlet Witch is one of the Marvel project that’s currently in the works for the Disney Plus streaming service. While there hasn’t been too much in the way of announcements, it looks like a writer is now attached to the show.

THR reports that Jac Schaeffer has been brought on to write the pilot and serve as showrunner on the series. The trade also reports that Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen will reprise their MCU roles as Vision and Scarlet Witch, respectively. As of right now, no further details like additional cast and a release date have been released.

This won’t be Schaeffer’s first time working with Marvel, as she contributed to the Captain Marvel script and wrote the screenplay for the Black Widow film. This doesn’t come as too much of a surprise, as Marvel likes to find and hold on to talent.

There’s a lot of potential for The Vision and Scarlet Witch. Anyone who’s read Marvel comics knows the two characters have had a complex relationship over the years. Olsen and Bettany have done well in their roles, but the show could allow for more characterization. At this point, it’s hard to say what Schaeffer will bring to the show. But if Marvel is bringing her on, they must have been pleased with her prior work.
