New Symbiote Spider-Man comic announced

Marvel Comics has announced a new Spider-Man comics called Symbiote Spider-Man. Here’s everything we know.

Marvel Comics has announced a new Spider-Man comic, which will focus on him wearing the black suit called Symbiote Spider-Man. Thanks to a report from CBR, we have some information on the comic book. Up ahead are spoilers for the upcoming comic, so read at your own risk!

Spider-Man will return in the black costume in April. Symbiote Spider-Man will feature Peter Parker/Spider-Man wearing the black suit, but this story isn’t going to set in the present. Instead, it will take place during “The Alien Costume Saga,” which ran from May 1984 to April 1985.

For those who don’t know, “The Alien Costume Saga” is a comic book story thread in which Spider-Man got the black costume (now known as the living symbiote, Venom) and started using it when he returned from the Secret Wars. He loved this costume, until he got to know that when he slept, the suit used his body to brutally fight crime. As a result, he came to know that it was a living symbiote. Spider-Man then got the symbiote removed, and eventually, Venom was created using new host Eddie Brock’s hatred for Peter Parker.

The story is written by Peter David, while the art and cover is done by Greg Land. According to editor Devin Lewis, the story is an in-continuity story of Peter Parker/ Spider-Man during the time he wore the black suit that later became his greatest foe, and the story will also bring back the characters from “The Alien Costume Saga,” like Black Cat, Aunt May, and The Daily Bugle.

After looking at this, fans should a good feeling about the upcoming comic. It will be set in the classic days of Spider-Man which should be great, as it will give fans a classic Spidey vibe, as well. Let’s hope for the best and wait for the comic book.
