Ken Jeong is reportedly making an appearance in Avengers: Endgame, reuniting him with Joe and Anthony Russo.

Avengers: Endgame is near the end of production, but new tidbits of information still seem to be dropping by the day. The most frequent news revolves around the cast, which will feature returning stars like Tessa Thompson, who plays Valkyrie. Amid the returning actors, a new face is now said to be joining the fray.

According to a report from Revenge of the Fans, Ken Jeong has joined the cast of Avengers: Endgame. No details are known about the role, but the trade reports that it could be a small cameo. By joining the film, the actor will reteam with directors Joe and Anthony Russo, whom he worked with on the hit NBC comedy, Community.

This wouldn’t be the first time the Russo brothers have brought in a former collaborator for one of their Marvel projects. In the pair’s MCU directing debut, Captain America: The Winter Solider, Danny Pudi, another Community alum, cameoed as a SHIELD technician. The sequel, Civil War, featured another actor from the show, Jim Rash, who briefly appeared as an MIT faculty member.

Despite Jeong apparently having a small role, it may not necessarily be a cameo. This casting report is somewhat similar to that of Peter Dinklage’s in Infinity War. His role as Eitri did end up being relatively brief, but it was integral to the story. Jeong could find himself in a similar position. Having him play a powerful character could be particularly entertaining.

One thing fans can likely assume is whatever role Jeong has is bound to be comedic. With this background in comedy, it would be surprising if the Russos didn’t allow him to flex those muscles. Avengers: Endgame is still a few months away, which leaves fans with plenty of time to speculate before it hits theaters on April 26.
