Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated movie announced
Batman has succeeded in facing many strange foes in his time as a crime fighter. But how will he fair in the new Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, when he faces off against the Heroes in a Half Shell?
This recently announced Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated film is part of a concept that has been running for a few years now. It truly began when the six issue crossover comic between DC comics and IDW Publishing back in 2015, Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which saw Batman and the Turtles battling and eventually teaming up against their various enemies.
The crossover was so successful it even spun off into a second crossover in 2016, this time featuring the version of Batman from Batman: The Animated Series and the 2012 television show Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and called Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures.
More recently, a year ago to the day of this announcement in fact, the Turtles made another crossover with DC in the form of downloadable characters for the Injustice 2 video game, in which they appear as allies of Batman.

With so much to pull from, it’s hard to say what approach this movie will take. However, there have been a few announcements made that give pretty good reason for speculation.
The story will follow the recurring theme of each crossover, in which a mishap with a dimensional portal leads the Turtles to the DC Universe. This causes them to come into conflict with Batman and eventually help him in a team-up against various members of his rogues gallery.
So far, the film has confirmed Batgirl, Robin, The Joker, Penguin, Bane, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, and Ra’s Al Ghul, in addition to Batman and the Turtles.
Though there is no official release date yet, Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is set to release later this spring.
