A casting call of a character for season 2 of Titans called Dax seems to point to a major Superman villain.

Coming from Geeks WorldWide, following reports of some new foes being a part of season 2 of Titans, albeit Jericho is rumored to be on the way while Deathstroke and Ravager are set to be a part of the sophomore season of the show according to That Hashtag Show, another character breakdown has been released, which teases a major Superman villain.

The character breakdown calls for the actor to portray a character, presumably with a codename, listed as ‘Dax’. The description reads as follows:

"“Mercurial and unpredictable, Dax delights in the element of surprise. Awkward and unpopular as a young boy, he insulated himself from others and developed masterful skills of manipulation. This led to a successful career as a criminal, where he had a unique ability to catch the enemy off-guard with his unassuming nature. Having spent many years in prison for his crimes, Dax is thrilled by the opportunity to get back to work and create chaos for his foes.”"

The casting call is after a man of any ethnicity, aged 30-39 for a recurring role. “Mercurial” means changeable and it directly lists Dax as someone who possesses some particular sets of skills in manipulation and catching his enemy’s off-guard. Who do you think it could be in the world of DC? Hate to be presumptuous, but does it not sound a tad bit like Lex Luthor?

GWW, of whom made the report appear to hint at that as did CBR, but this is just pure speculation at this point. However, Geoff Johns, one of the executive producers of the flagship DC Universe show did state they should expect Superboy and Lex Luthor on Titans.

If Lex is indeed Dax, as a cover up, it would make sense as Superboy and Krypto did feature towards the end of the first season of Titans. Whether the actor who portrayed the character known as “Subject 13” is actually Superboy or merely just the many clones of Kal-El (Superman) is another mystery, but they seem to foreshadow CADMUS may play a part in season 2.
