Does Captain Marvel have a post-credits scene?

Captain Marvel will become the next Marvel Cinematic Universe film to hit theaters. Like the others, will it include a post-credits scene after the movie ends?

The anticipation for Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel has taken off in recent days, due to the film’s first reactions hitting the internet from critics. The Impressions were positive, so it seems there’s another home run ahead from the House of Mouse.

A theme in Marvel Cinematic Universe films, mid and post-credit scenes usually follow up the main action. This can either answer a question from the movie or tease what’s next to the ever-expansive MCU universe.

So does Captain Marvel have a post-credits scene?

Before its reveal, this is the last chance to not be potentially spoiled by what will occur to close the Brie Larson-led film.

With that out of the way, there is, indeed, a post-credits scene to close Captain Marvel, according to Sonaiya Kelley of the Los Angeles Times. Not just one, though, but two scenes to stay for once the credits begin. Details of what happens were not included.

Shocking, right? An MCU film rarely ever leaves out an extra scene to tease fans of the future. 2018’s Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp all included at least one. Before them, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok all had multiple in 2017.

Especially with Avengers: Endgame ahead, it’s no surprise for Marvel to potentially drop a teaser when there are no films between that and Captain Marvel. With high box-office predictions as is, meaning hundreds of thousands — maybe millions — of fans seeing this late winter blockbuster, sneaking in marketing for Marvel Studios’ biggest film ever is logical to increase the hype before April 26.
