Magneto

It could be said that Magneto has been the most consistent part of the 20th Century Fox Marvel franchise. Both Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender have been phenomenal playing the Master of Magnetism. In the recent movies, Magneto has been both friend and foe. It’s yet to be seen what he’ll be in this movie, but because he’s been so great and has connected with audiences, this could go either way.

Killing Magneto would get a big pop from the audience since he’s so beloved and powerful. Also, Magneto has been used so many times that it may be time to move away from him for a while. Killing him is an option, but this usually means it’s permanent in the movies. With him dead, it could leave room for characters like Mr. Sinister, Mojo, and a host of other antagonists to step in. Although, if Professor Xavier dies, Magneto could be their new mentor. In the image below, it looks like he’s in a wheelchair after being beaten.

Chance of death: 50%

Storm

More from Movies

Everyone is rooting for Alexandra Shipp to be the Storm we’ve been waiting for. In X-Men: Apocalypse, she had the presence to play the weather goddess, but didn’t get the lines or screen time to prove her worth. Hopefully, she’ll have a bigger role, with memorable moments, in Dark Phoenix. Because she’s playing one of the most popular characters in comic book history, there’s no chance she dies.

People have been dying to see Storm done right. Sorry, Halle, but this isn’t the first time it’s been said. Alexandra Shipp has a chance to take this role and show Disney why she should be part of their future. Also, killing her would lead to a ton of angry letters about killing off everyone’s favorite X-Man. The shock value here would backfire.
