While in the filming stages for DC’s Swamp Thing TV show, director Len Wiseman previewed a snippet of the production.
It was last year that we learned that there were plans in place for the DC Comics superhero Swamp Thing to get his own television show. The series is set to star Derek Mears and Andy Bean as Swamp Thing and his alter ego, Alec Holland. Both men will lead a cast featuring familiar faces such as Crystal Reed, Jennifer Beals, Virginia Madsen and Kevin Durand. The show will be executive produced by James Wan of Saw and Aquaman fame and Len Wiseman.
Some may recognize that latter name as the director, writer and producer for much of the Underworld series. He also offered his talents behind the camera for television episodes of shows like Lucifer and Sleepy Hollow. Wiseman will be directing the pilot episode of Swamp Thing, which is currently in production, as we speak. Well, typing technically. Well, we are typing and you’re just reading.

Anyway, Wiseman recently provided a preview of what fans can expect from Swamp Thing with a behind the scenes snippet he posted on his Instagram page.
If there is anything we are to expect from the show judging from this preview alone, it is that the show will have a moody, creepy atmosphere akin to the comic’s tone. Hopefully, such an inspired tone remains consistent for the entirety of the show going forward.
It’s safe to say that when it comes to the director’s chair at least, Swamp Thing is in the right hands.
The show premieres on the DC Universe streaming service on May 10.
