Avengers: Endgame directors urge fans not to spoil the film
By Erik Swann
Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo are speaking out, as spoilers begin to hit the web.
When it comes to the wait for Avengers: Endgame, fans are in the homestretch. Unfortunately, the wait has just gotten a bit harder, as some have seen an early screening of the film and are proceeding to share major spoilers on social media. Marvel Studios and the film’s directors have taken notice, and they’re sending a message to those looking to ruin the experience.
In response to the news of the spoiler leaks, Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo released a statement through Marvel Studios asking fans not to spoil the film. The letter was very similar to the statement they released last year before Infinity War. And like that message, it still states that Thanos demands fans’ silence:
The fact that the Russo Brothers, along with Marvel Studios and Disney, are addressing this issue is commendable. However, it’s somewhat unfortunate that they still have to put out a statement like this. It’s even worse considering the fact that they’ve already made their position on this clear.

Avengers: Endgame is being billed as one of the biggest events in cinematic history, and for good reason. As the culmination of 11 years of storytelling, the project is a feat that has never before been attempted. As such, longtime fans no doubt want to experience the movie’s twists and turns in the theater. Still, for some reason, there are those who enjoy posting spoilers before release.
Luckily, there are ways to avoid such leaks. Fans can mute certain key or buzz words on their social media accounts or they can just stay off the web entirely. The latter may be more difficult, but it’s definitely not impossible to do.
With the film only a little over a week from release, fans will hopefully remain vigilant and be able to avoid being spoiled. Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26.
