Avengers: Endgame stars name their favorite MCU films
By Erik Swann
Several members of the Avengers: Endgame cast have revealed their favorite films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In its 11-year existence, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has amassed numerous fans from around the world, including the stars of the MCU themselves. The actors have stated on multiple occasions that they’ve become fans of the franchise. And recently, a few Avengers: Endgame cast members opened up about their favorite films.
ET Canada asked Chris Hemsworth, Brie Larson and Don Cheadle about their favorite MCU films, and the trio listed a few films. Cheadle started it off by discussing his love for Thor: Ragnarok and how it took things in a new direction for the God of Thunder. In addition, the actor also gave a nod to a recent MCU entry:
"“I like the last Thor…you found another way to take the irreverence. It was hilarious. But right there with it was probably Captain Marvel.”"
Brie Larson’s favorite is Avengers: Infinity War, which she saw for the first time at the film’s world premiere. Like most viewers, she felt varying emotions and enjoyed the character interactions:
"“I liked Avengers: Infinity War. I saw it for the first time at the premiere, and it just like made me feel so many things because you’re watching all these characters that you’ve seen for so long have these very quintessential and surprising interactions. And then you’re really upset.”"

Finally, Hemsworth named 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy as his favorite Marvel movie, due to its fresh approach, as well as it’s impact on the MCU:
"“The first Guardians was like, ‘Wow, this is different. This is cool and unique.’ And really kind of turned it all in a different direction again tonally. I love that film.”"
With 21 films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe thus far, it can be hard for some to decide which movies are their favorites. In some cases, some may remember particular films more than they remember others.
It’s nice to see the Marvel stars have even gravitated towards certain MCU films outside their own series. Actors who have been longtime members of a single franchise do tend to get attached, but this isn’t always the case.
And just as they’ve become personally connected to the films, fans have become connected to their performances in them. This will make things all the more difficult if (or when) some of them exit the MCU following Avengers: Endgame. It’s going to be a bittersweet moment, but one that’s been a long time coming. Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26.
