4. The Original Avengers sacrifice

Guardians of the Galaxy explained that not just anyone can wield the power of the Infinity Stones. It took the entirety of their team to use one of them and Thanos was visibly damaged after the snap, and he had a gauntlet to help contain the power. If the galaxy is going to be put back or changed for the better, someone has to use the stones again. It’s unlikely that one of the Avengers can contain its power, but maybe six of the galaxy’s greatest heroes can.

There are six original Avengers. Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and the Hulk. Each of them may be able to hold the Infinity Stones long enough to use them together. While Thor is a god, he should be able to use one of the stones on his own. However, the rest of the Avengers are mortals. This means that some of them may have to make some sacrifices to set things right and also kill Thanos.

Using the Infinity Stones may be the only way to beat Thanos. He’s more powerful than people realize. But using the stones will come with a penance. Bruce Banner may never be able to transform into the Hulk again (a theory I have on how he plays into a She-Hulk TV series), Thor may lose an arm (he as a prosthetic of sorts in the comics), and the rest of the team may die using the stones.
