Those worried that Avengers: Endgame may not live up to the hype can rest assured now in knowing that the latest Marvel film is certified fresh.

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters officially worldwide this Friday. Ever since the credits rolled for Avengers: Infinity War, Endgame has been the most hotly anticipated movie of the year. Quite frankly, an argument can be made for the latest entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe being the most anticipated film of the past decade. Unfortunately, with all of that excitement boiling up, it would be easy for it not to live up to expectations.

When a movie like Endgame constantly gets hyped up as the best movie ever, people are going to naturally walk into it expecting the best movie ever. Anything less would be a disappointment for many fans. For those fans worried that the film may not live up to previous expectations, fear not. If Rotten Tomatoes is to be believed – it usually is for the most part – then Avengers: Endgame lives up to those high expectations and then some.

More from Marvel Cinematic Universe

The latest Marvel entry had its world premiere event at the Los Angeles Convention Center last Monday. Those critics in attendance were quick to write up their reviews for the movie. Once they were all compiled together, initially, it resulted in a 98 percent rating. In over 24 hours since, the score dropped down to 97 percent, but that is still a wonderful sign.

At 97 percent, Endgame is now tied with its critically acclaimed predecessor Infinity War and the Oscar-winning Black Panther for being the most positively reviewed Marvel movie of all time on Rotten Tomatoes.

That score will continue to fluctuate, more or less, in the coming days before Friday’s release, but seeing such a strong score already gets us even more excited to see the most anticipated movie of the year.
