Lucifer is officially risen in new season 4 trailer
This Lucifer trailer highlights the show’s new aesthetic choice on Netflix while giving us a better look at Eve and the coming conflict with her and Chloe.
Lucifer is back! The jump to Netflix after facing cancellation at Fox has definitely placed our favorite Devil in a special kind of fire. The flames are hot on this one since season four looks to be the best one yet. A behind-the-scenes promo from a few weeks ago gave us a taste of everything new coming to the series. Shortly after, a teaser introduced us to the show’s new look. Well now,it’s safe to say that Lucifer is risen and totally different, and all for the better, thanks to season four’s official trailer:
It’s impossible not to see how different the show looks from a visual, or cinematic perspective. There’s a certain kind of pop that this trailer has that sets the show apart from its run on Fox. Perhaps the move to Netflix has allowed for experimentation in cinematography and style. Based on the trailer, season four footage looks more like a feature film than a serialized TV show. Then again, it’s Netflix we’re talking about! But what has this new trailer shown us in terms of plot and story? Quite a bit, actually.

First, it seems Chloe will struggle with the fact that Lucifer is truly the Devil. It’s an exciting premise and a bold move from the writer’s room, as many fans feared that Chloe’s memory would’ve been erased and used as a plot device in season four.
Eve’s return to Earth looks to complicate things for Lucifer and humanity as a whole, since according to the trailer, “When the Devil finds his first love, evil shall be released.” Are demons going to invade Los Angeles? Will we see more fallen angels fall upon Earth? We are about to be taken for a ride in this new season, that’s for sure. Even more since the trailer finally gave us our first season four look at Maze, Ella and Amenadiel, who’s back in his more divine attire.

Lucifer, Chloe and Eve will be working together based on the last few shots of the trailer. It’ll be interesting to see how this new fiery trio handles the LA crime world. New season four photos also teased this new ensemble (see above), so perhaps Eve is bound to be the new member of Team Decker at the LAPD.
The wait is almost over, Lucifans. Season four of Lucifer hits Netflix May 8.
