LEGO DC: Batman Family Matters receives first trailer
A trailer for the LEGO DC: Batman – Family Matters home-release video shows the next installment of LEGO content.
This is not the first installment of the LEGO DC home-release video but it looks just as exciting, if not more. There are others before such as last year’s LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: Aquaman: Rage of Atlantis. What does LEGO DC: Batman – Family Matters have in store for us?
First off is that name. If you are old enough, you ought to wonder if the title is parodying a certain television show. Doubtful, for who can possibly fill in that nerdy role from the Batman universe? In this new LEGO DC title Two-Face somehow buys up Wayne Enterprises. Two-Face also has possession over Brother Eye now. It is now up to Batman and his family to take back Wayne Enterprises. He must do this while keeping up the disguise that Bruce Wayne and Batman are two different people to Two-Face.

Batman’s family includes Robin, Nightwing, Red Hood, Batgirl and Batwoman! Wow, talk about a full team there! One cannot help but get a Battle for The Cowl vibe here given the characters and Nightwing having to dress up as Batman. I dare say it is kind of sad that this is the closest fans will get to have the Batman family all on-screen together in a movie. Remember, this is a straight to video release, not a big budget theatrical release.
Returning to his LEGO DC role is Troy Baker for the role of Batman. You may know him from other roles such as The Joker in Batman: Arkham Origins and Batman: Assault on Arkham. The rest of the cast is quite familiar as well. Alyson Stoner reprises her Barbara Gordon role from Young Justice for this feature. Teen Titans’ Robin, Scott Menville reprises his role of Robin for this LEGO DC feature. Jason Spisak, who you know as Wally West in Young Justice voices Jason Todd. Many other voice-actors brace our list like the great Tara Strong for Batwoman. Tom Kenny also reprises his role of The Penguin.
You can check this out on Blu-ray, DVD and digital this year. Just look for it on August 6 and no doubt some free LEGO may come with it!
