The British video game developer behind the Arkhamverse games could (possibly) be developing a AAA game on Justice League.

When are the rumors and speculation going to end? Since the release of the last entry in the Arkham franchise, Batman: Arkham Knight, it has been rumored that Rocksteady Studios has a Superman game in development that is set within the Arkham universe.

There have also been rumors of a Justice League game in the works. In addition, rumors of a new Batman game, Suicide Squad game and another DC–related property, simply titled Outlaws, have also been floating around. But now, there may be some movement on one of those projects.

A game developer known as Eddie Stubbington, who was recently hired at Rocksteady Studios in their Quality Assurance department, may have let the cat out of the bag on his involvement with a Justice League or other DC–related game.

Via his Twitter account, the employee published something interesting. On his profile, he initially posted a GIF featuring all of the heroes and villains from the DC Universe, which is usually featured in the advertising and promos of their original content for the streaming service, also titled DC Universe, and their film studio under Warner Bros.

Stubbington has since deleted the tweet and reposted it. However, the new tweet didn’t feature the DC GIF but, instead, included a GIF of an excited Jonah Hill.

This, of course, caused more speculation that the British game developer is in fact developing a AAA game based on Justice League. However, as promising as this may appear or sound, this only suggests that Stubbington was probably asked to take it down in order to not spread misinformation.

Furthermore, even if they are working on a DC–related IP, that does not mean Rocksteady are working on a Justice League game, specifically. As far as we know, aside from the aforementioned DC game headlines, leaks and rumors, it could really be a Birds of Prey or Justice Society of America (JSA) game that’s really in the works.
