6. “I’ll do it myself.”

Movie: Avengers: Age of Ultron

Everyone kept thwarting all of Thanos’ plans. First, the Avengers defeated Loki and cost him two Infinity Stones. Then, the Guardians of the Galaxy took the Power Stone from Ronan, after he decided to not give it to Thanos and keep it for himself. And it’s certain that Thanos wasn’t pleased that he had to get the Aether from The Collector on Knowhere. Although, it was probably an easy steal. After having his lackeys constantly fail, Thanos put on the Infinity Gauntlet and said, “Fine. I’ll do it myself,” as he smirked at the screen.

This is the moment fans had been waiting for. Thanos was going to take matters into his own hands. After sending all of his minions and lesser beings to do the work for him, it was time for the Mad Titan to get his hands dirty. And that he did. With the Black Order, he went to Xander to get the Power Stone and destroyed half their population, a feat that couldn’t be done by just anyone. Then they took on Thor and the Asgardians and beat them too. He made it a point to get involved directly because, if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. This showed the world he wasn’t all talk.
