MCU: 5 actresses who could play Ironheart

4. Storm Reid

This 15-year old actress is notable for her looks that eerily resembles Zendaya. In fact, on the HBO series, Euphoria Reid plays Gia Bennett, the younger sister to Zendaya’s character, Rue. But she’s not living in the shadow of her older doppelganger.

At age 9, Reid’s claim to fame was in the critically acclaimed film, 12 Years a Slave. The Wrinkle in Time star is a young actress who’s oozing potential. Proving she can hold her own with elite talents like David Oyelowo in the 2019 suspense, Relieve.

In Sleight, she stole every scene she was in as Bo’s (Jacob Latimore) younger sister Tina. She and Lattimore displayed great chemistry in the coming of age gritty superhero story. Similarly, a story featuring Riri would undoubtedly include that same gritty style.

It appears that Reid is attracted to stories with depth and emotion. Look no further to her roles that also include the critically acclaimed Netflix miniseries As They See Us.

Reid is also set to star alongside Elizabeth Moss in the Invisible Man. And she’s wrapped up production on the comedy drama, Killing Winston Jones.

Reid’s youth coupled with her untapped potential could work well for the MCU. She’ll give them an actress that can capture the youthfulness needed for Riri Williams. The wide-eyed yet focused genius who’s a role model and a symbol for hope is a character ideally suited for Reid.
