4. Is Mysterio Really Dead?

Jake Gyllenhall’s turn as the manipulative Quentin Beck was, without a doubt, one of the best parts of Spider-Man: Far From Home.

But the character was so good at being bad that it soon became clear that he couldn’t walk away from his deadly mischief alive, as he could just end up manipulating his way out of, well, anything really. No, as far as Mysterio was concerned, death was inevitable and, during the final battle, it came for him.

However, that right there does leave us all wondering if he’s really dead. Sure, we all saw him fall to the ground after getting wounded by the gunfire from one of his own drones, but could it all be just one big trick?

He spent the vast majority of the film making Peter, fake Fury and Hill, and all of us see things that weren’t actually there, so there’s a strong possibility that he did it all again with his own death.

After all, his team was able to use the footage of his death to create the altered video of Spidey killing him. Of course, this leaves us all wondering who exactly put them up to this and why, after all the villainy he took part in, the public still believed Mysterio to be a hero? Was there more master manipulation at hand here?

If he was capable of pulling all that off when he was supposed to be dead, you can rest assured that he could have manipulated E.D.I.T.H. into telling Peter that he was no longer with us. After all, Beck was a genius and, with the help of his equally talented team of geniuses, could create an endless array of illusions – the only question is: Is death one of them?
