SDCC 2019: Titans season 2 release date has been announced
In the wake of new DC Universe content, the release date for Titans season two was released at San Diego Comic-Con.
Over the weekend at San Diego Comic-Con International, to say there was a lot of trivia is an understatement as, over in the DC corner, there were some nice announcements. Aside from being treated with teasers of what is to come for the Arrowverse, there were some reveals for DC Universe, as well.
Coming off the heels of a recent announcement for a second season, which is set to premiere simultaneously on DC Universe and WarnerMedia’s new streaming service – HBO Max – in 2020, it was revealed (via Comic Book Resources) that the premiere date Titans season two will be September 6. During the Comic-Con presentation, a trailer was also shown, which featured the first official look at the new season’s Big Bad, Deathstroke.

The climax of Titans season one saw Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites), in his attempt to save Rachel Roth (Teagan Croft), get trapped within his own purgatory, living what seemed to be a quiet, domestic life with Dawn (Minka Kelly) until Dick has to confront a suddenly murderous Batman. This all turned out to be a manifestation created by Trigon (Seamus Dever), which inevitably caused Dick to be turned by the demonic being. Rachel is helpless to watch, as her birth mother and her malevolent father corrupt her confidant.
Titans stars Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Lindsey Gort, Alan Ritchson, Minka Kelly, Ryan Potter, Curran Walters and Conor Leslie. Joshua Orpin, Esai Morales, Chelsea Zhang, Chella Man and Iain Glen guest star. Geoff Johns, Akiva Goldsman and Greg Berlanti write the series. Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions are producing the series, in association with Warner Bros. Television. Titans season one is on DC Universe and Netflix.
