The Boys will bring the raunchy ‘Herogasm’ story to season 3
By Mark Lynch
What is Herogasm, and why is this exciting news for fans of The Boys?
The Boys comic book is notoriously known for being raunchy. The language, content, and subject matter isn’t for everyone, so it was shocking when Amazon picked the show up. It was even more surprising when it became a hit with fans and the critics.
The show changed a good amount of things to make it palatable for anyone who was watching it. Even then, there were scenes that were off the wall. For example, episode 1 features a scene in a hero bar where people are doing drugs, having sex (some while flying), and all sorts of other debaucherous behavior.
Anyone who’s read the comics knows there were just some stories they wouldn’t do or have to tone down dramatically. There’s one story in particular that no one thought the creators would be brave enough to tackle. Well, that arc is happening. The Boys co-creator Eric Kripke confirmed that “Herogasm” is coming.
Eric Kripke’s said on his reddit:
"“We JUST figured out how to do Herogasm!! It’ll come in Season 3 maybe (if we get picked up for Season 3). I’ve really wanted to do it, but needed to figure out our twist on it, so it’s not just an hour of hardcore porn. But I think we got it!! Super excited about that.”"

Some of you are reading this and have no idea what Herogasm is. Allow me to explain the story. Homelander starts the series by giving a speech about how there’s a major threat that needs to be taken care of. Along with his fellow heroes and villains, he would leave the planet and fight the good fight.
After the speech, they all fly away, and the audience cheers. Who wouldn’t? They just told everyone they’re risking their lives to protect us. It’s too bad that was all just a huge lie. In actuality, the supes of the world are taking a week off to do all the drugs and have all the sex they can in a single week. And how do they end this week of shenanigans — with an award show called “The Supies,” of course.
The series left nothing to the imagination when it comes to the anatomy of supes. However, despite all of the random and weird nudity (one character is half fly and we’ll never get that image out of my head) there was a purpose to this arc. This was the first moment where Homelander truly realized he could do whatever he wanted. We’ve already heard him say that in the show, so what’s the big deal? Well, after realizing no one could stop him, he gets the idea that it was time to team up with other like-minded supes and form a coalition to take over the world.
This series will have to be handled delicately. If creators can pull this off, they will take something no one believed they would do and made it palatable for the masses. This could also be a colossal mistake. If enough people complain or threaten to cancel their description after seeing a version of She-Hulk have sex with a version of The Thing, The Boys could be stopped dead in its tracks. There have already been more than a few outrageous moments, but you haven’t seen anything yet.
