Before Arrow ends, there’s one thing actor Rick Gonzalez would love to see happen as part of Wild Dog’s Season 8 storyline.

After more than 150 episodes, Arrow will come to an end this season as The CW looks to bring a close to the series which single handily helped to launch a multi-series universe. With only ten episodes in its farewell season, there is a lot of ground to cover within a short window of time.

With a limited number of episodes to work with, there are only so many threads which can be introduced and tied up before the series comes to a close. Like all fans who have their personal wish lists of things they’d like to see in the final 10 episodes, so do the stars of the series who each have storylines and events they’d love to see incorporated into the final season.

From David Ramsey’s hope for resolution to some of the unanswered questions about Diggle’s life to Juliana Harkavy’s hope for the final season to leave fans feeling gratified, each member of the Arrow crew has their own unique hopes for the final season. So just what would fellow series regular Rick Gonzalez love to see happen for his vigilante turned aspiring politician Rene Ramirez in the final season?

"“I would hope that he falls in love [before the series finale], but alas, we see in the future, he’s not married,” Gonzalez admitted in discussing the one thread he would love to see in the final season. “That’s one thing I would have liked to see with Rene, to see that side of him. We see him as a father and learn to be a good father. Now, what would he look like if he fell in love and opened his heart to a woman? That would be nice.”"

Although it seems unlikely that Gonzalez will get the chance to see Rene fall in love in the final season of Arrow, fans can look forward to getting a glimpse at Rene’s early political aspirations – aspirations which set him on the path to becoming mayor of the Glades.

"“I think this season we’re going to tackle the beginnings of his aspirations in politics and becoming mayor. So we’ll definitely tease that [in these final ten episodes],” Gonzalez previewed of what’s ahead for Rene."
