The news that Kevin Conroy would be reprising his voice role as Bruce Wayne as his first ever live-action version of the character in Crisis On Infinite Earths sure made an impression on DC fans.

Conroy has been voicing The Dark Knight for nearly three decades in countless animated shows, films and video games, but he’s undoubtedly best known for his debut offering as the character in the game-changing Batman: The Animated Series. And now, after all this time, he finally gets to give life to Bruce Wayne in a live-action TV show.

Naturally, this announcement has resulted in fans calling for Conroy’s Batman: The Animated Series co-star Mark Hammill to reprise his role as The Joker. Like Conroy, Hammill has become synonymous with the Clown Prince of Crime – also having reprised the role in countless animated films, shows and video games following the original series’ conclusion. So it wouldn’t be too out-there for him to do it in live-action.

What makes this one quite feasible is the fact that Hammill is no stranger to The CW’s Arrowverse, as he has portrayed multiple versions of The Trickster on The Flash – including an Earth-3 version which looked eerily reminiscent of The Joker himself.

Like Batman and The Joker, Conroy and Hammill are two sides of the same coin and, for many, the definitive versions of these characters. Having reunited on several DC projects over the years, it would be great to see their versions of them make their live-action debuts together.
