Pitch Perfect 2 actor added to The Suicide Squad in an unknown role
By Eric Bartsch
A virtually unknown actor with a principally comedic background is cast in The Suicide Squad for an unknown part.
James Gunn‘s soft reboot The Suicide Squad rolls closer to production, and Gunn is still adding more players to his already-large cast. Flula Borg, a German comedian, actor, and DJ, is joining the film in an undisclosed role.
Deadline initially broke the story, but there aren’t many details to offer. All they know is Borg is a playing a love interest for one character, and they didn’t specify who that may be.
Flula Borg is not a household name, but he is a very accomplished film actor. He played Pieter Kramer in Pitch Perfect 2 and a man in a mask in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip. His voice has been lent to a number of animated movies as well, including Ferdinand and Ralph Breaks the Internet.
Borg plies his trade on American TV, as well. He is a frequent guest on Conan and made appearances on TV Land’s comedy Younger, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Good Place on NBC, FX’s Archer, and The Boss Baby: Back in Business among other hit sitcoms.

When he finishes with his entrée into DC, Gunn will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for more Guardians of the Galaxy.
The Suicide Squad and Flula Borg’s turn in it are scheduled for a release on August 6, 2021. Production on it is slated to start next month in Georgia.
