Titans is set to return to our screens, but before it does, DC Universe has released a brand new trailer for the upcoming second season.

To quote Jason Todd, “Titans are back!”.

Titans first hit our screens in October of last year as the very first original program to stream on DC’s exclusive streaming service, the DC Universe. While the first couple of episodes received a rather lukewarm response, it grew into something that turned out to be oddly compelling. And by the end of the season, it was nothing short of cutting-edge television.

Well, after an explosive season finale (which saw Trigon finally escape from his prison and plunge the world into darkness – but not before awakening Dick Grayson’s inner-darkness), the show is set to return for its heavily-anticipated second season.

While DC Universe released an exclusive teaser trailer a few weeks back, it has now unveiled the first full-length trailer and it’s safe to say that we’re in for one heck of a treat. Check it out below:

Like the previous trailer, the tonal shift is quite clear here as the show seems like a more enjoyable, fun and cooler superheroic adventure (as opposed to the constantly grim approach of the debut season’s first few episodes) and that seems to have gone down really well with audiences.

Furthering what that previous trailer alluded to, the new preview gives us new shots of Iain Glen’s Bruce Wayne and the notorious DC Comics villain Deathstroke (a.k.a. Slade Wilson) while also suggesting that there will be tensions among former and current team members.

With the conflict between Dick and Jason, and Hank and Dawn, as well as the full-time introduction of Donna Troy’s Wonder Girl, there are going to be a lot of new dynamics that we’re all eagerly waiting to see explored.

Yes, Jason – the Titans are indeed back!
