6. Charlie Hunnam

For some time, Charlie Hunnam’s name surfaced in fancasts. His name most notably floated around DC fancasts for the role of Green Arrow. The idea makes sense, Hunnam has a natural grittiness to his acting that’s ideal for several comic book roles, including Moon Knight.

Hunnam’s claim to fame came in his starring role for the FX critically acclaimed series Sons of Anarchy. Just before the series ended in 2014, Hunnam starred in his first blockbuster, Pacific Rim. The action-packed robot vs. portal jump deep-sea creature was thought to take his career to the next level.

His next blockbuster, King Arthur failed to live up the hype and probably derailed his career a bit, since he never truly received that breakout role, Moon Knight could be the role he’s looking for. Moon Knight will give Hunnam a chance to play a role that shows off his versatility

5. James Marsden

James Marsden is no stranger to comic book movie fans. He played in Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns and the original X-Men trilogy. One might argue that his initial run as an X-Man wasn’t satisfying. So having him return to a comic book movie feels right. Despite his versatility as an actor, Marsden still feels like he’s under the radar.

Marsden currently has a full schedule, starring in two series: Netflix’s Dead to Me and HBO’s Westworld. As a matter of fact, his role in Westworld appeared to give him his well-deserved recognition. Moreover, it was his role on Westworld that aided in his name making this list. As the right-hand man to Deloris, Marsden’s character goes through a metamorphosis.

Without spoiling anything, he goes from good guy hero with a code (literally) to something darker. Marsden’s ability to transform on Westworld proves why he’d make a great Moon Knight.
