About the Release – What to Expect

About the Season

"“In season four, Supergirl faces a bigger threat than she’s ever faced before – a new wave of anti-alien sentiment, spreading across National City that’s fomented by Agent Liberty,” Warner Bros. Home Entertainment reflects of Season 4. “As Kara mentors a new reporter at CatCo, Nia Nal, and tries to use the power of the press to shine a light on the issues threatening to tear the city apart, Supergirl takes to the skies to battle the many villains who rise up in this era of divisiveness.  But how does Supergirl battle a movement when she, herself an alien, represents one of the main things people are fearful of?”"

Final Thoughts – Is it Worth Buying?

While the show’s freshman season will always hold a special place in my heart – thanks largely to the incomparable Calista Flockhart’s Cat Grant – Season 4 proved to be a standout for the series. From its beautiful handling of the immigration storyline at the heart of the season to the defining moments in proving the pen can be just as might as the cape, the writers weren’t afraid to take creative risks and the result was arguably the show’s strongest creative season to-date.

The strength of the season alone was enough to put the title on my radar, but Warner Bros. Home Entertainment continues to set their home releases aside from the crowd in providing fans with additional bonus content that essentially serves as the cherry on top.

From a plethora of deleted scenes from the season’s various episodes to new bonus featurettes  which give fans a behind the scenes look at the season, there is plenty of new material to dive into and enjoy on the 4-disc collection!
