In conclusion

It seems like the good definitely outweighs the bad, here. Everyone loves Ronda Rousey, and that alone means that she’d likely be a box office draw. That said, it doesn’t necessarily mean she’s ready to play a lead like Jessica Drew, She-Hulk, or Catwoman. But there are still tons of other characters she could play.

On the DC Comics side, there are characters like Huntress, Hawkgirl, and Artemis. For Marvel, there’s Thundra, Marlene Alraune, and my personal favorite Karen Sofen (Moonstone). Roles like these would allow her to bring her talents to a comic book movie and get better as she goes on – allowing her to grow with the characters, which would also lead to her growing as a performer.

If Ronda Rousey never portrays a character in a comic book movie it will be disappointing. I’m sure all of us would love to see her put someone from A.I.M. in an armbar or flat out destroy a legion of villains. And even though there may be some reading this, screaming at their phones saying this is a terrible idea, we’ve seen plenty of actors in the comic book genre shock us with their unbelievably strong performances. Ronda Rousey could be another one of those performers.
