4. Kylie Bunbury

If the DCEU opts to look for an actress who doesn’t quite have the name recognition but has some big screen experience and looks the part of a hero, look no further than Kylie Bunbury. She’s a talent that hasn’t been given the right movie role to let her shine. Fans of the actress will point to her lead role in the great, short-lived FOX series Pitch.

Bunbury received critical praise as the first and only women in the Majors. Her character was forced to stand toe-to-toe with the big boys without quivering under pressure. She was believable as a dominant athlete, coming off as strong and confident. But Bunbury is more than a TV actress.

The 30-year old has a few movies under her belt including the critically acclaimed comedic murder mystery Game Night. Although she didn’t play a major role, she stood out like a wanted sore thumb commanding movie goer’s attention.

It’ll be interesting to see how deep Bunbury’s range goes. In the miniseries When They See Us, she tapped into her more dramatic side. It also doesn’t hurt that she looks the part for the role, with her 5’8″ stature and frame. Anyone can see how those qualities help project her as a great Barbara Gordon.
