6. Miles Heizer

Miles Heizer may just be one of the most underrated actors in Hollywood today. A child actor, the young performer guest-starred in probably all of your favorite TV shows throughout the 21st Century’s first decade, popping up in everything from Ghost Whisperer and Private Practice to CSI: Miami and ER. However, he’s best-known for his five-year stint on NBC’s Parenthood and Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why – the latter of which truly highlighted what he was capable of as an actor.

Portraying the troubled Alex Standall on the series, Heizer has managed to capture just about every possible range of human emotion in three short seasons. From the bleached blonde and somewhat confident kid that he was in the first season, to the emotionally-traumatized young soul that he is in the third, Alex has undergone an immense amount of character development in a very short amount of time – and none of that would have been possible without Heizer’s show-stealing performance in Season 2 (that turned out to be one of its few silver linings).

There’s a maturity about his performances that is a rare find these days. Even with his youthful face, he’s able to convince us that there are years of worries and concerns behind those eyes – and, if anything, that’s a quality that Robin needs. Not only does that youthful face make him a perfect candidate for just about any Robin, his ability to convey emotional unpredictability would make him the perfect fit for Jason Todd or Damian Wayne.
