Zack Snyder gave fans a glance at a Flash scene that was dropped from the official Justice League cut.

The infamous “Snyder Cut” has mystified fans ever since the release of Justice League in 2017. Aquaman star Jason Momoa even claims to have seen the Snyder Cut. Director Zack Snyder has only added to fans’ curiosity, slowly releasing images from the movie that did not make the theatrical release, including a Martian Manhunter scene.

Now a new image featuring Barry Allen and Iris West was shared on Snyder’s Vero account with the caption “cute couple”.

CinemaBlend has the full rundown of the scene that was cut from Justice League, the behind the scenes story of Iris West being cut and the unknown future of a Flash movie. The site’s managing editor, Sean O’ Connell, also shared the image on Twitter:

How the movie would have handled Barry and Iris’ relationship is unknown. The prospect of Ezra Miller and Kiersey Clemons’ interpretations of the characters is enticing. How different would the characters be from their CW counterparts?

Justice League is a movie that Warner Bros. is hoping people forget, as they seem to have forgotten, as well. Not only that, but the next couple of DCEU movies do not appear to have any sort of connection to one another.

More from DCEU

Movies like Birds of Prey and The Suicide Squad appear to be standalone adventures, and Wonder Woman 1984 is set in the past before Diana Prince meets Batman and Superman.

As of right now, plot details are unknown about Matt Reeves’ The Batman but, if rumors are true, the movie will also be an isolated story.

Ava DuVernay and Tom King are also working on a New Gods movie, but it is unlikely that the movie will feature any crossover with any other DCEU movie.

A clear direction for the DCEU is not in the plans for Warner Bros. at the moment. The success of Joker may encourage the studio to produce more standalone stories, but fans are still hoping to see a cinematic universe that rivals the MCU.

Still, it may take a few years for that to actually happen. Hopefully, there is some sort of clarity to these movies sooner rather than later.
