It looks like Titans will continue to be a focus, as DC Universe has opted to move forward with another season.

With just three episodes left in season two, fans have been wondering if Titans will be renewed for a third season on DC Universe. Now, they have to wonder no more as the show has officially been renewed for a third season, which is set to debut in the fall of 2020. And if the trajectory of the series continues, season 3 will be even better than the second season, which is much better than the first. The official Titans Twitter account also shared the news:

More from DC Universe

Along with the announcement of the third season comes a new logo for the show. It’s very reminiscent of the previous logo but has a much brighter blue outline and darker letter coloring. This gives off some serious Nightwing vibes, which is exciting, as Dick Grayson has yet to don his iconic Nightwing costume in the show as of yet. Not just that though, but the title simply doesn’t look as gritty and dark as it previously did. This could be hinting that the tone of the show may be changing, at least slightly, and leaning more toward a traditional tone for the Titans.

Titans will be the first DC Universe original to have a third season, which makes sense, as it was also the first DC Universe show to air when the service began. Over its two seasons so far, the show has consistently gotten better, bringing in more and more iconic characters, and even leading to a spin-off show in Doom Patrol.

Essentially, Titans is becoming a legacy show on DC Universe, so it’s unsurprising that it would be renewed for a third season. After Swamp Thing was canceled so quickly. the service needs to continue to have an identifiable show on it. And with Doom Patrol season 2 simultaneously airing on DC Universe and HBO Max, Titans will be that show.
