The classic early 2000s DC animated series, Teen Titans, is now available on pre-order with bonus content revealed as well.

Warner Archive Collection has announced that Teen Titans: The Complete Series will arrive on Blu-ray on December 3, 2019. Though this isn’t the first time that the show has hit stands, as single seasons were previously available on DVD and Blu-Ray, it is the first time that the complete collection has been available to purchase. Pre-orders are now available.

Collider has the teaser for the Blu-ray:

"It’s a full plate of crime-fighting and chaos as Robin, Cyborg, Starfire, Raven and Beast Boy go up against killer villains such as Brother Blood, Mad Mod and their archenemy Slade. Get ready for all the big battles and unbreakable bonds that make these friends the unstoppable Teen Titans!"

The announcement comes as part of an effort to release and remaster classic shows from Warner Bros. Animation. Batman: The Complete Animated Series was released last year.

Teen Titans debuted back in 2003 and ran for five seasons concluding in 2006. All 65 episodes will be contained in this six-disc collection along with bonus features including the 2006 feature movie Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo.

Similar to Batman: The Animated Series and other Bruce Timm shows, Teen Titans was a big part of many fans’ upbringing, helping them learn about the iconic young DC team. The spin-off Teen Titans Go! serves the same purpose for the current generation, but Teen Titans was the show beloved by the generation before.

Developed by producer Glen Murakami and executive producer Sam Register, Teen Titans differed in animation style from the Bruce Timm style by taking inspiration from Japanese anime. The show’s iconic theme song also takes the same inspiration as well.

It was marketed to children with the show’s toys selling well, but like the Bruce Timm animated shows, the show balanced the child-like humor with mature storytelling. This was especially the case in the show’s adaptation of the “Judas Contract” storyline.

The Blu-ray will simply remaster the animation and will keep the voice actors of the show including Ron Perlman as Slade and Wil Wheaton as Aqualad.
