3. Ray Palmer

Crisis on Infinite Earths should bid farewell to the Atom. Fans of Routh have seen him go from Superman to Atom as he transitioned from the big screen to the small screen. The moment he stepped foot on Arrow, he captured the heart of not just Felicity, but Arrow fans everywhere. Ray Palmer was the exact opposite of Oliver Queen; a geeky unconventional hero without the tough-guy bravado.

There wasn’t enough room for two men in Felicity’s life or two charismatic heroes, so Greg Berlanti opted to move Ray Palmer to another series: Legends of Tomorrow. He shined in the role of the good guy, through and through. Atom was the moral compass for the ragtag group of heroes filled with those unafraid to cross the line. Well, it appears Atom’s time is almost up as the upcoming season of Legends of Tomorrow will be his last.

As far as how he leaves, it’s a mystery. However, what better way to end his journey than to have him go out as hero who sacrificed himself to save the masses? We saw how the death of Martin Stein impacted the group and there’s no doubt the death of Ray would change the Legends forever.
